Application

API 16C Choke and kill line is an importance part in choke and kill system, which is an integral part of surface and subsea blowout prevention equipment. 1. This hose allows to pump fluid to the well when normal circulation through the drill string can’t be employed; 2. Additionally the choke line and manifold provide a means of applying back pressure on the formation while circulating out formation fluid influx into the well bore following a kick; 3. Standard & Sour service

Hose Structure

  1. Internal tube: Particular polymer engineering plastic as inner sealing tube
  2. Internal rubber liner: HNBR based inner sealing elastomer, which is good for fluid with H S, oil resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, gas permeation resistance
  3. Breaker layer and external protection layer: high tension textile fabric
  4. Reinforcement for major pressure withstand: high strength steel cable
  5. Fire shield layer: glass fiber cloth
  6. Cover: Neoprene rubber based cover layers, fire resistance, wear resistance, oil resistance, ozone & ageing resistance, UV resistance which is applicable for critical marine environment
  7. Hose passed verification test specified in Clause B12 of API 16C
  8. Heat trace cable can be assembled by functional requirement
  9. Different option of external protection layer are available as request  or by  our recommendation according to operation condition, for example stainless steel armor outer wrap, embedded stainless steel wire in cover, or polyethylene spiral guard, etc.
  10.  Working temperature range: -18° to +66°C
  11. Flexibility specification level: FSL0, FSL1, FSL2, FSL3
  12.  Maximum length: 45 meter
  13.  Length tolerance: Length up to 6 meter, with tolerance ± 65 mm; Length longer than 6 meter  with tolerance ± 2%
  14.  Measurement basis of Minimum Bending Radius (MBR) is center line of each hose
